WELCOME to the Middlefield Children's Center, where children are given the opportunity to explore, experiment and construct their own knowledge  

Our daily schedule varies depending on enrollment and length of day. The following is a sample of our full day program:

7:30-8:15     Table top activities

8:15-8:30     Clean up/Bathroom

8:30-10:00   Playground

10:00-10:30 Bathroom/Hand washing/Snack

10:30-10:45 Circle Time (books/stories, discussion, sharing)

10:45-11:45 Center Time (all centers are open)

11:45-12:00 Music and Movement/Noon Dismissal

12:00-12:15 Bathroom/Hand washing

12:15-12:45 Lunch

12:45-1:00   Story/Independent Reading

1:00-3:00     Rest/Nap Time/Quiet Play

• for children that do not nap, there is a separate room for resting. Children have a cot, they rest for 20-30 minutes and then are provided opportunities for quiet activities.

3:00-3:30     Bathroom/Hand washing/Snack/Dismissal

3:30-4:30     Playground

4:30-5:45     Center Time

5:45-6:00     Clean-up/Dismissal

3:45-4:15 Homework assistance - time flexible depending on amount of homework

4:15-5:45 Playground (weather permitting)
